IEBA Master is open
The BSc degree must be obtained before 31 July 2025 for non-EU students and before September 30, 2025 for EU students.
Deadline for the call for applications is June 8, 2025 at 00:00 CET.
Incomplete applications will not be considered for selection.
Who is it for?
The IEBA MSc is open to students who have already obtained a first university degree with an equivalent of at least 180 ECTS credits (in the European system or equivalent) after at least three years of study at Bachelor of Science (BSc) level in Economics or in closely related fields (such as Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Engineering, Management, Statistics) with a strong quantitative background.
Mandatory prerequisites
- Mathematics and Statistics (12 ECTS)
- Economics, Statistics, and Econometrics (48 ECTS)
- Students are expected to have also an intermediate knowledge level of Business Administration to take advantage of the courses provided in Bamberg.

Documents and information
During the application, IEBA applicants must provide the following documents and information
- National ID/Passpor
- Official academic transcript of records and degree certificates obtained at the time of the application (level 6 ISCED mandatory), with official certified English translations in case of non-EU candidates
- Proof of English Proficiency
- CV in Europass format
- Motivation letter
- Choice of the MSc IEBA mobility track, i.e., at the University of Bordeaux (Economic-oriented track) or at the University of Porto (Business-oriented track)
Must be fluent in English
Recognised international English test for not native english language
- TOEFL: CBT 220, ITP 550, IBT 80
- Cambridge B2 First Test: 173 or higher
- Cambridge C1 Advanced Test: 160 or higher
- IELTS: 6.5 or higher
- TOEIC: 800
No other test is eligible. The results provided must not be older than 3 years at the time of the application. Applicants who carried out their studies in English (in case, an official confirmation letter from their university is needed) are eligible without providing such a test result.
